A Much Delayed Thankful Thursday: Weeks 5, 6, & 7

I know that I’m behind here. Still having technical difficulties with uploading images too. Thanks for your patience guys. Here we go!

Week 5

Monday 4/20: Free coffee cards for Monday mornings. An awesome babysitter that is laid back and loves Little Man. I love that he’s always happy to see her.

Tuesday 4/21: Snuggle and relax time watching movies with Little Man and doing absolutely nothing.

Wednesday 4/22: Wine, lunch and dinner with my lovely Mother-in-law, new stem less wine glasses, and tax returns.

Thursday 4/23: What we believe was a successful surgery for my grandma. And a kitchen sink that no longer leaks.

Friday 4/24: An easygoing Friday, ending with a great dinner with Batdad and Little Man and watching movies.

Saturday 4/25: A relaxing day with the in-laws and other family at Little Miss’s last soccer game for the season, then just hanging out at home.

Sunday 4/26: Hanging out at a local festival with my mom and cousin, Batdad getting off work early, and pizza for dinner.

Week 6

Monday 4/27: Four day work weeks.

Tuesday 4/28: Watching as Little Miss’s love of reading grows. She’s starting to read chapter books by herself. I think that’s pretty impressive for a 7-year-old.

Wednesday 4/29: Lovely, thoughtful, early birthday presents from my family.

Thursday 4/30: Early Friday- Batdad getting off early (he was scheduled to work late). Early birthday dinners and movie nights.

Friday 5/1: Birthdays spent relaxing with my family- Fantastic Elk Steak made by Batdad as mu ACTUAL birthday dinner and NEW BOOKS!

Saturday 5/2: The chance to take my littles to a Renaissance Fair and spend time with the in-laws

Sunday 5/3: A father-in-law that does projects with me.

Week 7

Monday 5/4: An opportunity to try something new at work.

Tuesday 5/5: Getting comfortable in different areas at work, stretching myself to adapt.

Wednesday 5/6: Good news about my Grandma (again)! Her cancer is NOT invasive! WOO HOO!!!!

Thursday 5/7: Doctors that actually know what they’re doing. Gritting my teeth and getting things done at work.

Friday 5/8: The end of a long work week. My MIL staying to help with the littles since Batdad and I are sick.

Saturday 5/9: Not having strep throat, FIL building my planter fence so the dogs stay out of my plants

Sunday 5/10: Belated Birthday/Mother’s Day BBQ with my parents, lovely gifts, a new outfit, and yet another new book.

What are YOU thankful for today, this week, this moment, this month?

Thankful Thursday: Week 4

Here we are again, week 4 of my Gratitude Journal entries and thankfulness. Also, a quick apology for missing yesterday’s Wordless Installation. I had uploading issues.

Anyway, here we go.

Monday 4/13: Family cuddle time on the couch while geeking out to Star Wars (Episode 6). We started with Episode 4 (as one should) and it BLEW my 7 year old’s mind! This was her first time watching all the movies and I think it’s safe to say that she’s hooked.

Tuesday 4/14: Time to pamper myself a bit and paint my nails.

Wednesday 4/15: Packing up the family to take a little drive, have some dinner, and just spend time together.

Thursday 4/16: Batdad getting an earlier appointment to see the specialist about his sinuses.

Friday 4/17: Having such cool in-laws and random road trips to pick up my father-in-law so he can hang out with us. He works a very early shift in the morning and works 10+ hour days so he’s usually pretty tired in the evening. They live a little more than an hour away from us so we see them pretty frequently but he was too tired to drive after work so we went up to get him.

Saturday 4/18: Lots of family coming to Little Miss’s soccer games. Even though she didn’t feel well she tried hard.

Sunday 4/19: Feeling productive but still getting to relax a little. Going to the park to throw Styrofoam airplanes as a family.

What are YOU thankful this week?

Thankful Thursday: Week Three

Since I’ve started this project, and this installment, it’s changed the way I look at some things. I usually don’t write down the thing I’m thankful for until the next day, for a couple reasons. The first is that it makes more sense to let the day complete itself before I choose a piece of the day that should go into the journal. The second is that I find it nice to reflect on the day as a whole and note all the wonderful things that happened that could potentially “make the cut.”

Everyone has struggles in their lives, as do I, but there is so much to be thankful for as well. So, with that, here we go.

Monday 4/6: This Monday was….a Monday. Wine and Family were the two things I was most thankful for on that day.

Tuesday 4/7: Encouraging information from my Grandma’s doctor’s appointment. (If you missed the pertaining post to this, you can read it here, but the short version is that we found out that my grandma has cancer)

Wednesday 4/8: Snuggles from Little Man. He’s getting bigger and doesn’t want to snuggle as much. That makes the snuggle times much more special, even if they are short-lived.

Thursday 4/9: Working at a job I genuinely enjoy, with people I like being around.

Friday 4/10: A good hairstylist, date night, and quality time with the hubster (Batdad) talking and watching movies and just hanging out. He’s honestly one of my favorite people to be around.

Saturday 4/11: A day off where I don’t worry about doing housework. There are things that need doing, but the rare day where I don’t worry about doing them, I choose to just hang out instead, is very nice.

Sunday 4/12: Little Man having a “Mommy day.” It was just the two of us most of the day and he was very snuggly. We also visited my grandparents and I was thankful for the time to visit with them.

What are you thankful for today, this moment, this week, this month? I’d love to hear all about it!

Thankful Thursday: Week Two

Week Two of my gratitude journal entries. Woo Hoo! I’m on a roll! Two weeks in a row!

*Ahem* Sorry about that. Anyway, here we are again to visit a few things that I’m thankful for.

Ready? Set. GO!

3/30 Monday: Sugar-free Rockstar and my amazing mom who jumped up and left the house to bring me the one I forgot in the fridge in my rush to get to work.

3/31 Tuesday: Time spent with my mother-in-law- shopping, looking at crafty things, or just talking- She’s a wonderful lady that I’m lucky to have in my life.

4/1 Wednesday: Moments with my husband. Moments where the littlest thing, like reaching over and grabbing my hand while driving, is significant.

4/2 Thursday: The time to devour a book in its entirety. Being a fast reader comes in handy when you have small children and limited time (those dishes won’t do themselves!)

4/3 Friday: Getting to color eggs as a whole family, including my in-laws.

4/4 Saturday: My sister K. I love spending time with her and I love that my kids love her.

4/5 Sunday: My children. I’m thankful for them every day, but being able to spend an entire day with them is always wonderful, even when it’s also stressful.

What are some things you guys are thankful for? I’d love to hear about it in the comments!
